University sweethearts tying the knot
That first year of uni is a whirlwind for most students. A time when most are leaving home for the first time, and discovering what the big bad world is really like! Scary stuff, but mostly fun and exciting. And during first year, love is rarely on the mind of the average student. But our real bride Hannah, and her now husband George, are far from your average students. They discovered each other during their first few months studying. And after a little one-on-one homework help, the pair soon became inseparable.
The rest, as they say, is history!

Today we are celebrating these two university lovebirds by sharing a couple of pics from their big day, and a few words from the bride herself.
How did you two meet?
We met at university, during our first year. We were on the same course but didn't really know each other until we met properly at a friend's birthday. We got on really well, but didn't properly hit it off until I needed some help with some coursework. He saved the day (and my grades!)
How did you get engaged?
We do a little domestic getaway with the dog every year, just before Christmas. One year, we went to a beautiful, remote building called the Birdhouse. We went on a morning walk with the dog and then George made my favourite meal, and we ate together on the balcony, he eventually went into his romantic spiel and popped the question!
What was your favourite moment(s) from the wedding?
There are so many, but we can probably narrow it down to two: the ceremony, and the wedding breakfast. The ceremony just felt so magical and surreal! And we opted for a sweetheart table during the breakfast, so it was just us two at the top, and it was a wonderful way for us to both enjoy some time together on such a crazy, busy day
Tell us all about your wedding dress!
I LOVED my dress (Essense of Australia D3636). It was not at all what I thought I would want, but it absolutely was the best choice for me. The sleeves were my favourite part, and I loved how gorgeous the train looked when it was laid out behind me. The material was absolutely stunning, and I loved how free and flowy it was - it got comments all day! Dale was amazing too because he altered it exactly how I needed for me to feel comfortable and confident on the day - thank you so much!
What was the general decor for your big day?
Our colour scheme was sage and white, and we kept the decor quite simple: lots of white flowers with foliage. We went for clean and simple during the day, and then a bit of a rustic vibe in the evening, incorporating more wood and brass tones into the theme
Do you have any advice for future Bellissima Brides?
Try everything, and tell your bridal stylist everything you're thinking! I came in with quite a loose idea of what I wanted and ended up just trying on anything Danielle pulled out for me. I let her know along the way what I loved and what I didn't, and we landed on my perfect dress - another huge thank you!
One more thing for brides expecting a big 'moment' - while I knew I loved the dress, I didn't pick it on the day. I like having time to process things, so I walked away with lots of pictures and ended up booking an appointment for a month later - which is when I KNEW it was the one and placed my order!
Do you have any local suppliers you would like to recommend?
Our wedding suppliers were fantastic, and I cannot shout about them enough.

How was your Bellissima experience?
It was truly amazing - Danielle was so patient as I went through SO many dresses during that first appointment. She was so lovely, and I am so grateful for all of her help! My dress also needed a few alterations (including a bigger one that I decided on after my fitting) and I cannot emphasise how incredible Dale was. He made me feel SO comfortable at all times, and we genuinely just had fun during our appointments. He made the dress feel like it was made for me, which is why I felt so good on the big day! Thanks so much to a fantastic team!
